Rector of Ankara Social Sciences University and President of TYB Prof. Dr. Musa Kazım Arıcan, who came to Erzurum to participate in the panel ‘A Cultural Pioneer who fermented Anatolia D. Mehmet Doğan’ organised in memory of D. Mehmet Doğan, Founder and Honorary President of the Writers‘ Union of Turkey (TYB), hosted by Atatürk University, visited Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu in his office with the delegation of the Writers’ Union of Turkey.

During the visit, ideas were exchanged on joint projects and cooperation in the field of culture and literature. TYB President Prof. Dr. Arıcan emphasised the importance of Atatürk University's support to Turkish culture and literature and stated that it is meaningful for Erzurum to host such events as an ancient city of civilisation.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu expressed his satisfaction with the visit and stated that Atatürk University is determined to continue its pioneering role in the field of literature and culture. He also stated that the events organised in memory of important figures of the cultural world such as D. Mehmet Doğan will inspire young generations and make a great contribution to the transmission of cultural heritage.
