ATATÜRK UNIVERSITY HOSTED 3RD INTERNATIONAL EBAT CONGRESS

 International EBAT Congress was held by Atatürk University and the Association of Chemists.

The 3rd International Eurasia Biochemical Approaches and Technologies Congress (EBAT) was hosted by Atatürk University. In addition to Atatürk University, the International EBAT Congress, where 240 participants from a total of 67 universities, 53 in Turkey and 14 abroad, presented 180 papers; Hacettepe, Bilkent and Gebze Technical University and Chemists Association hosted it.

It is the Most Comprehensive Congress

Stating that the congress held on November 4-7 under the leadership of Atatürk University allowed academic and industry professionals to discuss the latest developments in the region and exchange ideas, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı; emphasized that it is the most comprehensive congress focusing on various aspects of biochemistry, biotechnology, biomedical engineering and biomaterials. Rector Çomaklı stated that the EBAT congress was very productive in terms of discussing the current studies in the field of biochemistry and sharing the predictions about the future process: "Our congress provided the opportunity for our valuable scientists to exchange ideas in the scientific environment."

Expressing that they are very happy to host participants from all over the world, Atatürk University faculty member and Congress President Prof. Dr. Hasan Özdemir stated that the main goal of the 3rd EBAT congress is to create a truly international cooperation atmosphere between scientists, engineers, and industry, and stated that they want to encourage quality research and the realization of these researches by bringing together the latest developments, innovations and world-renowned researchers on a common platform.

Young Scientist Candidates Are Also Encouraged Within the Scope of the Congress

Expressing that they also support the participation of young and successful undergraduate students studying at various universities within the scope of the congress, Özdemir said: “Thus, we aim to introduce the world of science to these young minds, to bring them into the world of science and to enable them to progress. Protein purification and technologies, industrial enzyme applications, biotechnology and bioconversion, molecular biochemistry, bioinformatics, biophysics and bioanalysis, determination of biological activity, biochemistry of natural products, biomolecule and metabolite determination, biosorption Topics such as proteomics were discussed. Within the scope of our congress, which was very productive and offered solutions to various problems and questions in the field, I would like to thank our university Rector Prof. Dr.  Ömer Çomaklı, our organizing committee, the Chemists Association, our university stakeholders, our scientific and advisory board members, our sponsors and all participants, and hope to meet at the fourth of our traditional EBAT congress.”
