The 1st International Nizami-yi Ganjavi Symposium was held in cooperation with Atatürk University, Department of Persian Language and Literature and Azerbaijan Ganja University.
Assoc. Dr. Asuman Gökhan was the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the symposium hosted by Atatürk University, which was organized online to commemorate the 880th anniversary of Nizami's birth, Assoc. Dr. Yasemin Yaylali and Assist. Prof. Dr. Hayati Öncel were the co-presidents, and Research Assist Şeyda Arısoy was the secretary general.
23 Papers Presented at the SymposiumIn the opening speech of the symposium, which was attended by 6 countries and held in 5 sessions; Assoc. Dr. Asuman Gökhan, Head of Persian Language and Literature Department Prof. Dr. Nimet Yıldırım and Dean of the Faculty of Letters Prof. Dr. Dilaver Duzgun thanked the guests for their participation. After the welcoming speeches, Atatürk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Özer, Consul General of Azerbaijan Ganja Dr. Zeki Öztürk, Ganja University Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Assoc. Dr. Pervin Kerimzade and Azerbaijan Deputy Müşfig Ceferov expressed their satisfaction, thanks and wishes for this joint work between the two brotherly countries. In the symposium academics from India, Iran, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Cyprus and Turkey, who have very valuable studies on Nizami-i Ganjavi, presented 23 papers.
The symposium, which ended with goodwill wishes, was recorded so that it could be watched over time.
