Professor Dr. Hamza Al, the Rector of Sakarya University, visited Professor Dr. Ömer Çomaklı, the Rector of Atatürk University, to assess the collaboration and collaborative initiatives between the two institutions. The significance of the cooperation linkage between research universities was emphasised during the visit, and Atatürk University's New Generation University vision was cited as an example.

New Chances for University Members

One of the primary objectives of the visit was to strengthen the cooperation bridge that had been established between research universities. Sakarya University, which was included in the Research University Candidate Monitoring Programme by the Council of Higher Education (CHE), is confidently progressing along this path, according to Prof. Dr. Hamza Al. He also emphasised the significance of the collaboration with Atatürk University, which was one of the first Research Universities to be announced, in terms of both academic and scientific research.

On the other hand, Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı asserted that these partnerships serve to reinforce the vision of Atatürk University's New Generation University Design and Transformation Project. Çomaklı stated that the quality of scientific research will be enhanced and new opportunities will be created for students and academics as a result of inter-university cooperation.

It was emphasised that this vision allows students and academicians to conduct more productive studies by utilising modern education techniques and research laboratories that are endowed with advanced technology.

According to Prof. Dr. Hamza Al, this vision of Atatürk University serves as a model for other universities. Rector Al stated, "The new generation university vision of Atatürk University holds a significant position in the country's higher education." The university paradigm of the future is significantly influenced by this vision.

The future initiatives that the two universities intend to implement were also addressed during the visit. It was asserted that these initiatives will enhance the international recognition of both universities and contribute to their academic success.

Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration with Sakarya University and predicted that the frequency of such visits and collaborative studies would continue to rise.
