HIGH-TECH ULTRASOUND DEVICES WERE IMPLEMENTED AT THE ATATURK UNIVERSITY RESEARCH HOSPITAL.
Appointment times will be shortened, and diagnoses will be rendered earlier.
The two high-tech ultrasound devices that were carried to the university hospital were examined on site by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, the Rector of Atatürk University. According to Rector Hacımüftüoğlu, the devices will facilitate the rescheduling of appointments that are months in duration to earlier dates and will contribute to the rapid and precise diagnosis of numerous diseases.
"The devices purchased today will be able to detect the differentiation of organs in diseases such as cirrhosis earlier," Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu stated, indicating that they have established a calendar as part of the hospital's technological transformation. Furthermore, the differential and early diagnosis of diseases such as mastitis and breast cancer, which were previously challenging to detect in the breast area with previous ultrasound devices, will now be feasible. This situation is of paramount importance not only for the health of the region, but also for patients from neighboring countries.
"The new devices will both shorten appointment times and provide an early diagnosis opportunity," stated Rector Hacımüftüoğlu.
According to Rector Prof. Dr. Hacımüftüoğlu, the Atatürk University Research Hospital has a substantial patient population, particularly in the region in which it is situated. This density elevates the hospital's technological and physical requirements. According to Rector Hacımüftüoğlu, the new devices that have been introduced to the university will contribute to the early diagnosis of diseases and the urgent initiation of treatment processes by shortening appointment times and enabling patients to receive faster service. Additionally, he shared the good news that the hospital will incorporate various devices for different clinics in the future.
Prof. Dr. Alper: "We will offer our patients higher-quality healthcare services."
Prof. Dr. Fatih Alper, the Head of the Department of Radiology, emphasized the importance of early diagnosis in the success of treatment, stating that these state-of-the-art devices offer a high accuracy rate in the diagnosis of diseases. These devices will enable us to ensure that our patients receive higher-quality healthcare services in a reduced amount of time. The instruments, which will also contribute to the academic field, will also serve as a guide for scientific research. In this context, I would like to express my gratitude to our Rector for granting us these opportunities. I am confident that these novel devices will be beneficial to our physicians in the treatment of our patients.
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Türkez, Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Bilgehan Erkut, Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ufuk Okkay, and Head of the Department of Radiology Prof. Dr. Fatih Alper, BAP Coordinator Prof. Dr. Erol Akpınar, Hospital Chief Director Fedli Dumlu, and department academicians and employees participated in the hospital visit, during which they were informed of the specific areas in which the devices will be utilized.
