Various measures continue to be taken to survive the Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, which has become a global problem worldwide, with minimal damage.

Within the scope of these measures, the Ministry of National Education (MONE) announced that the courses will be held by the distance education method by taking a break from formal education until 30 April 2020.

Lessons Continue Through Digital Platforms

After this decision, Atatürk University Private Foundation Schools acting in a coordinated manner started to continue the compulsory education process with digital platforms as of 23 March 2020 in these difficult days.

Indicating that this online education should not only be considered as a one-way course, Private Foundation Schools Campus Director Erdal Karagülle stated that in this context, besides academic courses, but guidance presentations are also applied to provide psychological support to parents and students online. He also stated that they have prepared and started to implement a comprehensive curriculum prepared by physical education, visual arts and music entities.

Karagülle said that these online training was prepared not only for the members of the foundation schools and for all the people of Erzurum but also for all of Turkey: In this process, the content produced by our self-serving teachers is accessible to all our students and parents. You can follow our live lessons on our school's YouTube channels. In this context, our online courses were watched by 255 thousand people from the day of the decision to transfer to distance education. We are proud to serve all of Turkey and to reach these figures.”

What Are The Foundation Schools Doing In The Online Education Process?

Karagülle also spoke about the studies and practices done by Atatürk University Private Foundation Schools in the online education process and shared the following information: “We are continuing the annual curriculum with online courses at all levels. We are doing trials Online and solving trial questions online again. We do daily homework at all levels. We follow daily assignments closely with our classroom teachers.
