GOVERNOR MUSTAFA ÇIFTÇI VISITED ATA ICE MUSEUM
Atatürk University's 2020-opened Ata Ice Museum, Faculty of Fine Arts, continues to attract visitors.
A pioneering identity is established at the Ata Ice Museum in Turkey, which is the first and only representative of ice museums in many world locations; this is one way in which the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project aims to assist artists and the arts.
Governor Mustafa Çiftçi and Rector Professor Dr. Ömer Çomaklı visited the Ata Ice Museum in this context. In the presence of Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı were several individuals: Tuncay Kaldırım, the district governor of Yakutiye; V. Osman Codur, the provincial director of culture and tourism; Oktay Güven, the secretary general of the Northeast Anatolia Development Agency (KUDAKA); and Mustafa Bulat, the coordinator of the Ata Ice Museum.
Coordinator Mustafa Bulat briefed Governor Çiftçi on the Ice Museum, which welcomes both domestic and international visitors at temperatures of 5 degrees below zero for all four seasons. Governor Çiftci regarded the exhibits with keen interest.
Governor Çiftci expressed his gratitude to Rector Çomaklı and his team for the establishment of the inaugural and sole ice museum in Turkey, which is being conducted at Erzurum in honor of Atatürk University. He further extended an invitation to the citizens of Erzurum to visit the Ata Ice Museum.
Indicating his contentment with the visit and interest of Governor Mustafa Çiftci, Rector Çomaklı stated that the museum serves as a venue for numerous events and fosters cultural cohesion.
Rector Çomaklı underscored the exemplary efforts undertaken by Atatürk University in disseminating scientific knowledge and serving the public. Furthermore, he mentioned the establishment of significant museums within the institution, including the Biodiversity Science Museum and the Agriculture Museum.
