THE COLLABORATION WILL PROVIDE PATIENTS WITH MORE COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT OPTIONS.

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PTR) at Atatürk University Health Research and Application Center (SAUM) has entered into a significant collaboration to enhance the treatment services it provides to its patients. In this context, a protocol was signed between Atatürk University and Aziziye Municipality, which will enable patients undergoing outpatient or inpatient treatment to receive treatment and rehabilitation services at the Physical Therapy and Spa Facilities of Aziziye Municipality.

The Signing Ceremony and the Objective of the Protocol

The objective of this protocol, which was signed by the Rector of Atatürk University, Ömer Çomaklı, and the Mayor of Aziziye, Emrullah Akpunar, is to enhance the quality of health services and enhance the efficacy of patient treatment. The signing ceremony was attended by prominent managers from both institutions and health experts.

Ömer Çomaklı, in his address at the ceremony, conveyed his satisfaction with the collaboration, which further solidifies Atatürk University's leadership in the field of health. He stated, "Our university has consistently prioritized patient care." In order to provide our patients with a more comprehensive and holistic treatment procedure, we have signed a protocol with Aziziye Municipality. "The spa treatment will support our physical therapy practices and make positive contributions to the recovery processes of our patients," he indicated.

Aziziye Municipality's Contribution

In his assessment of the signing ceremony, Aziziye Mayor Emrullah Akpunar underscored that the municipality consistently prioritizes the health and welfare of its residents. A significant service that we provide to the residents of the region is the availability of spa facilities and physical therapy services within our municipality. We are overjoyed that our facilities contribute to the rehabilitation of our patients and attract a broader audience as a result of this protocol, which we have implemented in collaboration with our university. In order to enhance the integrity of health services, we have implemented this measure. Akpunar also expressed gratitude to Rector Çomaklı for his contribution to the culture of cooperation, stating that it also reflects the municipality's comprehension of social responsibility. He hoped that the protocol would be beneficial.

Protocol Scope and Anticipated Outcomes

The physical therapy and wellness facilities of Aziziye Municipality will be accessible to patients undergoing treatment at the SAUM Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of Atatürk University within the framework of the protocol. Spa treatment will be employed as a supportive therapy in a variety of conditions, including rheumatic diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, orthopedic injuries, and neurological diseases. The objective of this collaboration is to facilitate the recuperation of patients in both their physical and psychological capacities.

Furthermore, this protocol will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience between the medical team of Atatürk University and the expert personnel employed in the recreational facilities of Aziziye Municipality. Consequently, the utilization of the most effective and contemporary treatment methods will be guaranteed.
