ANOTHER NEW CENTER COMES INTO SERVICE…
GARAGE READING HALL AWAITS ITS STUDENTS

Atatürk University, which has strengthened the 65-year-old culture of education with the projects it has realized and the scientific studies it has roduced, has activated a new reading hall for the students to carry out their educational activities more comfortably.

In addition to its success in social contribution, education and research and development with the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, Atatürk University, which continues its projects to ensure that its students receive the best education and live a happy campus life, the Garage Reading Hall was built for the students with the instruction of Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı.

The Garage Reading Hall, located in this area, which was used as the area where the University's vehicles were collected, but was emptied with the new vehicle management branch, will be able to serve about a thousand students at the same time in a total of 3 thousand square meters of closed area. It has an artificial intelligence and robotics workshop, 8 study halls, each of which has an area of approximately 150 square meters, 2 prayer rooms (men and women) with an area of 14 square meters, 2 WCs (male-female) and 2 handicapped WCs with an area of 52 square meters. There is also a canteen with an area of approximately 400 square meters in the reading hall. In the construction plan, in the garden, there are social living areas, fields where various sports activities will be held and recreation areas.

Stating that all projects carried out at Atatürk University were prepared for students to lead a more comfortable campus life, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı said that students who are physically and mentally comfortable achieve success more easily.

“After the reading hall, which was completed in the past years and attracted great interest by our students, we have completed the construction phase of the Garage Reading Hall, which is another important project. We have designed a center that our students can easily reach on our campus, which we always aim to renew and develop. In this unit, our students will be able to study and prepare for their exams, do various sports activities and spend their free time in the recreation areas. We will continue our projects with a management approach that puts the student at the center and cares about their happiness.” Çomaklı added.

The Garage Reading Hall opens at 9.00 in the morning, and will serve students until 11.00 p.m.
