"ORIENTATION PROGRAMS INFORMATION MEETING" CONDUCTED AS PART OF NEW TERM PREPARATIONS
Atatürk University is currently in the process of finalizing its academic and administrative framework in order to enhance the educational experience of its students in the forthcoming term.
In conjunction with the orientation program that will be conducted for students prior to the 2024-2025 academic year, an informational meeting was conducted for academics.
The meeting was attended by department and program leaders, as well as vice deans and vice directors that are responsible for education in faculties/vocational schools. The new term's preparations were thoroughly discussed.
In the program that commenced with the opening address by Atatürk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yüksel Göktaş, Corporate Communications Director Prof. Dr. Besim Yıldırım, Research University Monitoring and Evaluation Office Coordinator Member Assst. Prof. Dr. Erol Üzan, and Student Affairs Department Head Metin Saygılı delivered presentations and addressed the participants' inquiries.
Newly enlisted students for the 2024-2025 academic year were informed of the orientation program that will be conducted from September 30 to October 4, 2024. The meeting, which included the sharing of information on the orientation program, which includes hall programs that will support students' personal development and raise awareness of being a university student; the orientation fair program, which promotes all units of the university, institutions, organizations, and civil society organizations related to students in the city; and trip programs to entertainment and historical places, detailed the content of the unit-based orientation program that is scheduled to be held in each unit on October 3-4. It also emphasized the significance of the orientation process for the units.
The program concluded with a Q&A session, during which the queries of the participants were addressed.
