The 2020-2021 academic year planning at Atatürk University continues at full speed.

As a result of the studies under the leadership of the Rector, Prof. Ömer Çomaklı, the search for a method to determine which education method will be applied in the 2020-21 academic season continues at full speed. Stating that they will decide on the education model in September according to the course of the coronavirus epidemic, which affects the world and is felt closely in our country, Çomaklı said that all preparations for the new academic year at Atatürk University have been completed.

"We will Take the Best Decision for The Health And Safety of our Students"

Noting that the preparations are arranged in a way that can be adapted to both face-to-face and distance education models, Rector Çomaklı said: “We announced that the fall semester will start on October 5, 2020 in the academic calendar for the 2020-21 academic year we have published. We will decide which training model will be applied according to the course of the interviews and the pandemic process. We continue our efforts to make the decision clear in September. In the meantime, we focus on our other preparations for the process ”.

Stating that Atatürk University is a big family and that they have made all their efforts for the health and peace of students and academic and administrative staff in this context, Rector Çomaklı said that the university has gained meaning with students, but the Covid-19 epidemic has made its effects felt intensely in the world and in our country. He emphasized that the roadmap will be determined by taking into account the health and safety of students, relatives and university staff in order to minimize the activities to combat this epidemic and to reduce the effects of the epidemic.

"Everyone has Important Roles in this Process"

Stating that they are in constant consultation with the Provincial Hygiene Board, the Provincial Pandemic Board, the Provincial Directorate of Health, the Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate and representatives in order to minimize the effects of the Covid-19 Pandemic in Erzurum and to carry out the diagnosis and treatment process more effectively. Rector Çomaklı continued his words as follows: “The pandemic process had an impact not only in the field of education but in all areas of life. Important tasks fall on everyone in order to overcome this process as quickly as possible. Complying with mask, social distance and hygiene rules is one of the most important methods in combating the disease. Every individual should be careful. Self-protection also means protecting one's environment. Every irresponsible act means an immoral attitude in the sense of worldly law, and in the ethereal sense a great sin and right. "

Rector Çomaklı stated that Atatürk University Research Hospital fulfilled all its duties in this process: “In this process, regardless of the level, there is a health community that has been working 24 hours without going home for months. We express our gratitude to all of them. We must not forget that; Every measure taken individually will reduce their burden. When we fulfill our responsibilities carefully, we can overcome the pandemic faster and thus help our healthcare professionals. "Let's obey the rules and all the measures taken."
