STUDENTS ENJOYED THE NEW SLED TRACK.
With the involvement of students and academicians, Atatürk University inaugurated the New Sled Track, which was constructed to revitalize cultural and athletic events. The track situated between the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Law was the site of the toboggan event, which was characterized by vibrant scenes.
The opening event in which university members participated by sledging was greeted with great interest by Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, vice rectors, general secretary, academicians, administrative staff, university sports club athletes, students, and citizens.
"We Enjoy Sports and Nature Together"
Prior to the event, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu underscored that Atatürk University provides its students with a diverse living environment that encompasses academic accomplishments, as well as social and cultural activities. Rector Hacımüftüoğlu asserted that winter sports are an integral part of Erzurum's identity and that the university "encourages our students to engage in social and athletic activities in addition to their academic pursuits." Erzurum has significant potential in the realm of winter sports. We opened our sled track to transform the precipitation into entertainment during the winter months in order to assess this potential. Our students and all university members can enjoy a delightful experience here.
Students enjoyed themselves by sliding on sleds and vessels during the event that garnered significant attention. The university administration's affair concluded with sausage bread and fish bread treats from the University Social Facilities.
Atatürk University is committed to fostering a campus environment that integrates athletics and nature, in addition to implementing initiatives that enhance the social lives of its students.
