YÖKAK EVALUATION TEAM COMPLETED FIELD VISITS

The field visits carried out by the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) Evaluation Team have been completed. The delegation met face-to-face with 38 face-to-face meetings and more than 300 academicians and administrative staff in a three-day period.

The examinations organised by YÖKAK continue in order for universities to recognise their strengths and aspects open to improvement and to contribute to improvement processes. In this context, the delegation visited Atatürk University and completed the field examinations and face-to-face interviews. The visit, which took place within an intensive programme, ended with Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı welcoming his guests in the rectorate office.

Stating that this application carried out by YÖKAK has accelerated the country's higher education, Rector Çomaklı stated that the evaluation process, which provides important contributions both in terms of further development of physical facilities and increasing the working standards of academic and administrative staff, has been completed and stated that the data obtained will provide important gains for Atatürk University to compete with the world. Rector Çomaklı emphasised that there has been a significant change in the light of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project and pointed out that the structural transformations carried out under the titles of education-training, research-development and contribution to society are positively reflected in the university's household.

Rector Çomaklı: "As a University, we continue to renew and improve ourselves"

Rector Çomaklı stated that Atatürk University, which develops itself more and more every day, shows a total growth and development with all family components and external stakeholders in this direction: "As a university, we continue to question, renew and develop ourselves. Our university, which has a vital importance for the region where it is located, continues to work to overcome this responsibility. Our university, which has implemented many studies that are among the vision projects of our country, provides infrastructure for scientific studies, and is intertwined with the society with museums and social facilities, will continue to raise individuals who are beneficial to their country with its 67 years of history and accumulation. With these thoughts; I would like to thank the valuable members of the YÖKAK Evaluation Team who made great efforts during the site visits. I would also like to thank our YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar and YÖKAK President Prof. Dr. Ümit Kocabıçak, who support us in taking correct and decisive steps towards the future with the understanding of continuous improvement."
