YÖKAK EVALUATION COMMITTEE CONTINUES ITS INVESTIGATIONS
The Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) Evaluation Team continues its examinations at Atatürk University within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Programme.
The YÖKAK Evaluation Team, which is at Atatürk University to evaluate the Institutional Accreditation process, to examine the studies carried out in this context, to make face-to-face interviews by making field visits, met with faculty deans, centre directors, academic and administrative staff and external stakeholder representatives on the 2nd day of the programme.
On the 2nd day of the visit; Management of the Faculties of Medicine, Science, Education, Engineering, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Open and Distance Education, Pasinler Vocational School, ATASEM, ATAÖGEM, Teknokent, TTO, BAP, Project Development Office, Associate / Undergraduate Research Coordinatorship, Career Planning and Graduate Monitoring Centre, In addition to the directors of the Associate / Undergraduate Education Coordinatorship, Graduate Education Coordinatorship, Social Sensitivity Projects Centre, Disabled Student Coordinatorship and PDR Centre, institute directors, department heads, administrative staff and external stakeholders met.
Evaluations are made based on 14 Criteria and 46 Sub-Criteria
In the evaluations made on 14 criteria and 46 sub-criteria under the headings of leadership, governance and quality, education and training, research and development and social contribution, it was discussed how Atatürk University plans and manages its resources and competencies in line with the values, mission and goals of the institution; how monitoring and improvements are carried out throughout the institution and on the basis of processes. Issues such as how stakeholder participation and inclusiveness are ensured in planning, implementation, monitoring and improvement processes; what are the areas that are strong and open to improvement in the institution's internal quality assurance system; the reasons for unrealised improvements; how the institution will ensure sustainability in the quality assurance system in order to maintain its competitive advantage within the scope of the rapidly changing agenda of higher education were also discussed.
