COMPLETED FIELD VISITS PROGRAM
Atatürk University, which is among the 54 universities that have applied to the Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP) prepared by YÖKAK, is among the 11 universities that are eligible to be included in the accreditation process, successfully conductingthe evaluation process with field visits within the scope of institutional accreditation.
Atatürk University field visits program, which was held within the scope of the institutional accreditation program of the Higher Education Quality Board 2020-2021 evaluation period, took place between 10-12 March 2021. Field visits were carried out through online and face-to-face interviews conducted at the university senior managers, units, academic / administrative staff and student level.
Led by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Güden, the evaluation team consisting of Prof. Dr. Bülent Çavaş, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Rıfat Vural, Prof. Dr. Macit Fikret Suner, Prof. Dr. Semra Feriha Aşcığil, Prof. Dr. Atilla Çimer, Ayşe Müge Demirel and Feyza İpekten completed their field visits program with the reading of the exit declaration after their meeting with Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı.
"I Have Full Faith That Our University Will Be Accredited"
Rector Çomaklı hosted KAP evaluation team head Prof. Dr. Mustafa Güden and team member Prof. Dr. Bülent Çavaş at the Erzurum House located at the university campus, giving information about the quality policies of the university.
Stating that the PDP process will add value to universities, Rector Çomaklı underlined that accreditation practices will be effective in ensuring continuity of education, research and social contribution.
Stating that universities also go through mutual learning processes within the scope of institutional accreditation, Çomaklı pointed out that all opportunities are mobilized to ensure that this process goes smoothly and that he believes Atatürk University will be accredited after the process is completed.
On this occasion, Rector Çomaklı thanked the unit managers, academic / administrative staff and students for their contribution and devoted work.
What is the Institutional Accreditation Program?
The Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP) is an external evaluation method that enables the quality assurance, education, research and development, social contribution and management system processes in higher education institutions to be evaluated within the scope of the "planning, implementation, control and taking measures" cycle. It is carried out by the evaluation teams formed by the KAP Higher Education Quality Board within the scope of the Institutional External Evaluation and Accreditation Criteria and the Institutional External Evaluation and Accreditation Guide.
