The Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) Evaluation Team visited Atatürk University within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Programme.

The Evaluation Team consisting of Prof. Dr. Füsun Eyidoğan, Prof. Dr. Metin Bedir, Prof. Dr. Atilla Çimer, Prof. Dr. Bülent Çavaş, Dr. Yusuf Gocuk, and Esra Köyönü, assigned by YÖKAK within the scope of the programme, will evaluate Atatürk University on 14 criteria and 46 sub-criteria under the headings of leadership, governance and quality, education and training, research and development and social contribution.

Atatürk University, which is preparing for its 67th academic year for the next term and crowned its achievements in this process with the title of Research University, continues to work dynamically with all its units to increase and continuously improve the quality of the service it provides, while continuing its work within the scope of the New Generation University Design and Transformation Project, which it has initiated to compete with world universities.

Rector Çomaklı: "YÖKAK Evaluation Team contributes to our efforts on the path of development and progress"

Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı emphasised that the evaluations to be made by the delegation, which will carry out unit visits and face-to-face interviews for 3 days to carry out a series of examinations and interviews, on the strengths of Atatürk University and the aspects open to development are very important for them. "We first came together with the esteemed members of the YÖKAK Evaluation Team, which we hosted at our university, at the meeting where our senate and board of directors also took part. After the meeting where a general information was given, our esteemed guests will make field visits for three days and visit our campus and units. The evaluation committee, which will hold face-to-face meetings with the senior management, academic and administrative staff of our university, will examine the work carried out at our university in many areas, especially in areas such as leadership, governance and quality, education and training, research and development and social contribution. I would like to thank the valuable members of the YÖKAK Evaluation Team, who contribute to our efforts to keep the quality education of our university and the above-standard service it offers dynamic, and wish them convenience."

Within the scope of the common physical space visit, the team members visit faculties, institutes, coordinatorships and research and application centres by making unit visits as well as libraries, dining halls, sports halls and study areas.
