FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE CONTINUES TO SUPPORT REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The 800-acre land of Yavuz Selim Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School has been prepared for autumn wheat cultivation with the assistance of Atatürk University Faculty of Agriculture and the leadership of Aziziye District Governorate. The ploughing work, which was also supported by the Aziziye Chamber of Agriculture, was conducted as a collaborative endeavour over a three-day period, with 25 tractors from the adjacent villages participating. This procedure served as an exemplary illustration of agricultural cooperation and local solidarity.

The academic support provided by the Faculty of Agriculture at Atatürk University will be combined with the cooperation of producers from neighbouring villages to conduct the wheat sowing. This initiative will not only enhance agricultural productivity in the region, but it will also serve to educate the younger generation on the significance of agriculture.

Information is made available regarding sustainable agricultural practices.

The Faculty of Agriculture at Atatürk University is recognised for its contributions to regional agriculture. Farmers are provided with information regarding sustainable agricultural practices, productivity enhancement methods, and contemporary agricultural techniques through academic studies and technical assistance. In this manner, the local economy is intended to be fortified, and agricultural production processes are rendered more efficient.

These programs provide 295 high school students with an exceptional opportunity to receive training as farmers, acquiring the necessary knowledge and equipment in the fields of modern agriculture and livestock husbandry. Students will gain a more comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of agriculture and will have the opportunity to pursue professional professions in this field in the future as a result of practical training.

The wheat cultivation initiative is designed to foster agricultural awareness among young people and to support the growth of local agriculture. It is anticipated that the agricultural potential of the region will be further enhanced and the interest of younger generations in this field will be heightened as a result of the contributions of the Atatürk University Faculty of Agriculture. The acceleration of the modernisation process in agriculture and the provision of regional development are significantly influenced by these collaborations.
