Stating that they have completed the 2020-21 fall semester without any problems, mainly with the distance education model, with its strong infrastructure and qualified academic human resources, Atatürk University Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı stated that they started the new period with the same enthusiasm and energy.

Rector Çomaklı stated that they have left behind a challenging period than ever, due to the difficulties brought by the pandemic, and that both students and academics are tired more than a normal period, and that the administrative staff continues to support their education and research activities with extraordinary effort.

"We Started the New Era with a Blended (Hybrid) Education Model"

Emphasizing that despite all the difficulties, they have completed a very successful and excellent period under the conditions of distance education and study, Çomaklı said: “At the beginning of the last year, we started to give an unpredictable test as all humanity. A virus that we could not see with our eyes or perceive with any of our senses affected almost everyone in the world.

Although we are beginning to see promising improvements, it is clear that more time must pass before health risks can be significantly reduced. For a while, we have to continue our lives very carefully and cautiously. Therefore, in line with the course of the Covid-19 global pandemic in our country and our city, the "New Normalization Process in the Global Epidemic" guide published by CHE and the opinions of the Ministry of Health, the 2020-2021 academic year starts with the distance education model and if suitable conditions are formed, face-to-face education is gradually We decided on a blending (hybrid) training model in which it is increased, ”he said.

"All Our Preparations for Spring Term Are Completed"

Rector Çomaklı stated that as Atatürk University, all units made a great effort in order to pass this process smoothly: “Our university has shown that it is among the institutions that have made a name in the point of distance education as in many fields. Great effort was made, wishing the best for our students. We will continue to maintain this success. We made all our preparations for our students to spend the spring term in the most efficient way. I believe that we will come out stronger after these decisions taken for our health ”.

Stating that they continue to serve the country's higher education without sacrificing quality education in the process that has passed since the emergence of the pandemic in our country, Çomaklı said: “We are proud of the awards and outstanding achievements of our students, faculty members and graduates.
