Atatürk University stands, which took their place in the Ancient City Erzurum Promotion Days organized by the Erzurum Confederation (ERKON) in the Istanbul Maltepe Beach Event area, were met with great interest. Atatürk University, which took its place with Open Education Faculty (ATA AÖF), Carpet, Rug and Handicrafts and Food and Livestock Application and Research Centers in the Promotion Days, introduced the largest university of the east in Istanbul.

While Carpet Art is Keeping Alive, Contribution is Made to the Regional Economy

Stating that the carpets exhibited at the stand were produced in the Carpet, Rug and Handicrafts Application and Research Center, Center Director Lecturer. Mevlüt Kapanoğlu said that the center carries out activities in order to keep the Turkish carpet and rug art alive and to pass it on to future generations. Kapanoğlu also stated that carpets and kilims, which are woven by hand labor, attracted a lot of attention with the employment of women and their contribution to the family economy.

The Natural Products of the University Came to the People of Erzurum

Stating that the Food and Livestock Application and Research Center of the Faculty of Agriculture, which carries out application activities within the university, brought specially produced local products to the people of Erzurum living in Istanbul. The booth attendants stated that the center provides both practical and advisory services to students, researchers and farmers. While products were introduced at the Food and Livestock Application and Research Center stand, which has a wide range of products such as chicken, eggs, whole dairy products and beekeeping products, the visitors were offered products.

Second University Without Examination With ATA AÖF Difference

During the days of Erzurum, when the Open Education Faculty was introduced within the scope of the second university without examination, visitors were informed about ATA AÖF, which has 400 thousand students, and the advantages of studying at the second university without examination, with the difference of Atatürk University, with 29 associate degree and 10 undergraduate programs and undergraduate completion programs in the field of health.
