After meeting with international students and student representatives for fast-braking meal, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomaklı had this time his fast-breaking meal with Atatürk University students at the third week of Ramadan.

Rector Çomaklı came together at the fast-breaking meal with 2,500 students in the central cafeteria. He was accompanied by the vice-rectors, advisors to the rector, members of the senate, deans, and the secretary-general of the university. Çomaklı went to the students' tables before the fast breaking time, had talks with them and listened to their requests. He broke his fast with the students after the call to prayer.

“Our university will rise with the power it gets from you”

Expressing his pleasure to share the fruitful fast breaking tables of the holy month of Ramadan with the students who are the apples of the eye of Atatürk University after the fast-breaking meal, Rector Çomaklı emphasized that they attach importance to the fact that students have a solid moral foundation as well as their qualified education in their fields of expertise. "It is certain that symbolic heroes emerging with the advent of popular culture have degenarated our culture having negative effects our cultural background and pushed it to the dimentsion of corruption. Being in need of return to the past and our values however vaguely it might be, we know that the material and spiritual culture flow is inevitable to come true, which carries the cultural life styles, aesthetic understanding, and aesthetic understanding of the past today. We base all our works on this information. It is our top priority that you grow up mentally healthy." he added.

Rector Çomaklı also stated that Atatürk University is the continuation of a thousand-year-old education tradition and is among the few Research Universities of our country today. "Our university, which is a pioneer in the development of our region and our country in every sense, especially our beautiful Erzurum, will contribute to the enrichment of our spiritual world and to humanity. I have full faith that it will carry on its works to the distant future with the strength it receives from you and with your contributions. On this occasion, I wish you all a nice meal and I wish you success." he finished his speech.
